At the end of November many a cosplayer's eyes turned on London and Hyper Japan Christmas 2012, the host of the World Cosplay Summit (WCS) and European Cosplay Gathering (ECG) 2013 UK qualifiers.

Saturday 24 November
I was supposed to be competing with a friend in the WCS and ECG team competitions but unfortunately we had to pull out at the last minute. As I'd finished my costume I wore it anyway and went along anyway to support my friends.
WCS: My ECG team UK 2012 colleague, Yuka (
) and her friend Heather will be travelling in style to Nagoya to represent the UK at WCS 2013. They won with their super cute cosplay sof Eiko and Vivi from Final Fantasy IX[link]
ECG: Lettie (ECG team UK 2011) and Clood will be zipping off to Paris as the UK team representatives for ECG 2013. They pulled off an impressive performance as Frodo and the Witch King from Lord of the Rings.

I was lucky enough to be invited to judge the ECG UK Solo qualifier 2013. They introduced the judges by showing a slide show of our cosplays which was really cool!

Its such a shame you had to pull out on the Saturday, I would've loved to see you represent us at the WCS!

You will be awesome in Paris. Enjoy it. It's an incredible experience; so much so that you can't help but feel driven to try for a repeat. I'm planing to enter the qualifiers next year.
I cant wait to meet everyone and see what they all come up with, seen some of the qualifying costumes and they all looked amazing.
I so hope you can enter for the next ECG/WCS, I'll come and cheer you on :3
I absolutely intend to compete in the qualifiers next year. After you've been to the finals this year you'll want to go again too!
It's a shame you had a pull out but your costume looked epic from what I've seen of it!
